Why Inviz?
Your message finds a way.
No towers, no routers, no internet. Messages travel phone to phone over Bluetooth, relayed by other Inviz users until they reach the right person - up to seven hops away. And if someone is out of range, the mesh can hold their message and hand it over when they reappear.
Sealed end to end.
Direct messages are encrypted with the Noise protocol before they leave your hand. The phones that relay them carry ciphertext they can't read, and you can verify a contact in person with a short safety number.
Known at a glance.
Every user's avatar is generated from their identity fingerprint - no photos, no profiles, no uploads. And because it's seeded by the fingerprint itself, the same person looks the same on every phone in the mesh.

Bluetooth range is naturally short - the mesh extends it by relaying through other Inviz users, so it works best when a few people nearby are running it too. Delivery is best-effort by design: honest, serverless messaging rather than guaranteed cloud delivery. Airline policies on Bluetooth vary, so check yours before takeoff.
